Dear All,

Last Sunday I received the confirmation email that I was selected to take part in the project Connecting Cultures. From then on I walked around with a big smile on my face. Before I start to introduce myself I would like to congratulate all my fellow ambassadors with their selection as well. I am excited to start this journey with you all.

My name is Darshini and I am a Bachelor European Studies student at Maastricht University. My parents were born and raised in Surinam, however, my brother and sisters and I were born and raised in the Netherlands.

I am really looking forward to meet everyone who is taking part in the project and to explore Oman as well. I appreciate that this project offers us the opportunity to explore other cultures and to exchange thoughts with them on a more personal level.

Can't wait to start with the programme!
